Federal Labour Minister Syed Khurshid Shah feared on Saturday that a politics of confrontation may cause irreparable loss to the democracy. He was talking to media outside the Governor House. He said the people of Pakistan have secured democracy after long struggle and unforgettable sacrifices.

He expressed his concerns over the controversial statements issued by the PML-N second tier of command and said the democratic set up may face trouble due to this behaviour. Khurshid Shah avoided to comment on the absence of Sharif brothers from the city during the visit of the President Asif Ali Zardari.
